A bit about Rions Flowers    

The four-generation family business, Rion’s Flower Shop, began in 1937. Mattie Rion was one of the first women to own a business in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

In the beginning Rion’s was located on College Street. Years later her husband, Bernice Rion retired, and joined Mattie in her flourishing flower shop. As time went by the families establishment extended to Mattie Rion’s daughter, Martha Anne Rion Moffett.     Martha Anne continued the family traditions of working hard and creating beautiful floral designs. As the family business continued to grow Martha Anne’s son, Jon Moffett, began to help build the business into one of the largest and reputable flowers shops in the Murfreesboro area.
     
In 1983 Jon moved the family business to 117 South Academy, along side Castelli Design. He also changed the name to Rion Flowers & Gifts due to the fact that the growing business now catered to more than just ones flower needs. 

Throughout the years the entire family has been very involved in Rion’s Flowers.  Now in the fourth generation, Jon’s daughter, Shela is helping to continue the family business where our designers and employees will continue to satisfy all of our customers needs.
